I’ve said from the start that just like we select schools based partly on their Matric pass rates, going forward SDPs will be judged and selected based on their learner FISA/EISA exam success rate. No more bums-on-seats….but actual high quality training and learner through-put.Â

DHET: minister’s media briefing scheduled for the 3rd June which was expected to provide updates on the transition to occupational qualifications and related implementation arrangements was postponed. A new date has not yet been announced. See more here.
QCTO: announced that the Gauteng Capacity Building Workshop has been postponed from the previously advertised dates. New Workshop Dates: 13 – 14 August 2026. See more here.
QCTO: The Nationwide Private SDP Capacity Building Workshops kicked off in Polokwane, covering accreditation, assessment and the Pre-2009 Qualifications Transition. See more here.

QCTO: hosted its 1st Quality Partner Forum for 2026-27, which brought together all 21 SETAs, SAQA, DHET and NAMB to advance transitional arrangements. See more here.
