Founded in January 2003 by Ingrid van Heerden and Andrea Kellett, Thrive Learning Facilitation’s vision is to make a significant difference in the lives of South Africans. We believe the Skills Development and NQF Acts provide wonderful opportunities to assist in up-skilling and improving the employability of all South Africans.
With our combined knowledge, expertise and experience, we have developed this vision into a successful, flourishing business which shows growth year on year.
Our client base is spread across South Africa, from large corporates to small one-person businesses.

Office Manager | Skills Development Administrator
Thrive’s rock! Since 2004 Bongie has been holding everything together at Thrive…from humble beginnings, we couldn’t be prouder of our office manager and skills development administrator with computer and business administration qualifications. Consistency and professionalism are the hallmarks of her work here at Thrive.
Skills Development Facilitator
No one is more willing to help than our own bubbly, vivacious Victories. Her keen interest and curiosity in skills development and Seta compliance, is only matched by her passionate client-centred approach. Joining Thrive as an intern just before COVID hit, she has delighted us with her commitment and work ethic throughout this difficult time. She has embedded her keen expertise and soulful nature deep within our Thrive team.
Victories is an integral part of our skills development department and nothing pleases us more to watch her go from strength to strength with every passing week. We can’t wait to see where she ends up!
Alida van Heerden

Senior QCTO Advisor
Margaret’s extensive background in the South African ETD environment ensures that her wealth of knowledge and experience add huge value to our team. Margaret worked at SAQA since 2004 doing monitoring and evaluation work until she was seconded to the QCTO in 2011. This hands on experience at a national policy level ensures we all stay up to date and relevant in terms of the QCTO changes – bringing these insights to our team and all the providers we work with.
Working with like-minded people and being able to support and mentor aspirant providers as they get to grips with the principles of the NQF is her favourite part of the job here at Thrive.
Belinda’s gentle and kind nature is well known in the Thrive world. She has been in the training industry since 2001 and has been doing Seta accreditation consulting and support across a wide range of Setas since 2008 – she is a very experienced and meticulous consultant with an extraordinary eye for detail.
Watching the processes and paperwork coming together and seeing the clients’ happy faces when they receive their accreditation reports is Belinda’s favourite part of her work with us at Thrive.
Our Western Cape branch manager 2009 – 2012, we’re delighted Handri’s back assisting providers with their accreditation compliance and successes. With a special interest in customer service and leadership, along with qualifications in hospitality and an MBA, Handri is well placed to bring her industry knowledge and experience to the education sector.
Outcomes-driven and motivated, Handri is a valuable and determined team member ensuring everything gets done.
Where would we be without Dorcas?
Not only does she keep us all comfortable and cared for in her gentle and quiet way, but is a Bongie’s right hand – assisting with administration and office tasks.
Reliable and hugely supportive, she is the reason we can all get so much done around here!
Thrive Associate | CHE Registrations
Suzanne’s experience and in-depth understanding of the post-school education training system over her extensive career, consulting to private and public sector clients, universities, business schools and international development agencies makes her a perfect Thrive Associate.
Our CHE registration expert is a wonderful, complimentary addition to the team.
Thrive Learning Facilitation believes in a philosophy that values the spirit of community as much as it values professional excellence and ethos.
Connecting with each other, our clients and the communities that we are a part of, is very much a part of the Thrive ethos.
Basically, we want people to thrive.
In South Africa, we face challenges of social and economic disparities, cultural and linguistic barriers and an education system that sometimes fails to produce learners with the skills needed to thrive in society.
We believe we can all become a part of something bigger and inspire positive change in the world around us.
One small act of kindness at a time…
