Our Story

Founded in January 2003 by Ingrid van Heerden and Andrea Kellett, Thrive Learning Facilitation’s vision is to make a significant difference in the lives of South Africans. We believe the Skills Development and NQF Acts provide wonderful opportunities to assist in up-skilling and improving the employability of all South Africans.

With our combined knowledge, expertise and experience, we have developed this vision into a successful, flourishing business which shows growth year on year.

Our client base is spread across South Africa, from large corporates to small one-person businesses.

Walking The Talk

  • We remain at the forefront of the industry through our associations and memberships of the relevant professional bodies including APPETD and ASDSA.
  • We are committed to the interrelated principles of Black Economic Empowerment and Skills Development.
  • We use the services of SMME enterprises where possible. We support and encourage self-employment and have many SMME suppliers and clients.
  • Our organisation is people-focused. We believe in networking and referral marketing. As a result, we have a large network of associates and fellow consultants offering expertise across industries.
  • We operate in line with QCTO, Seta & SAQA requirements, as well as legislation applicable to skills development and private companies (including POPI).
  • Thrive is fully accredited by QCTO & ETDP Seta to offer facilitator, assessment practitioner, moderator and skills development facilitator training.
  • We live our values of Integrity, Excellence, Collaboration and Meaning and are signed-up members (organisational and individual) of the Unashamedly Ethical movement.

GIVE BACK

Thrive Learning Facilitation believes in a philosophy that values the spirit of community as much as it values professional excellence and ethos.

Connecting with each other, our clients and the communities that we are a part of, is very much a part of the Thrive ethos.

Basically, we want people to thrive.

In South Africa, we face challenges of social and economic disparities, cultural and linguistic barriers and an education system that sometimes fails to produce learners with the skills needed to thrive in society.

We believe we can all become a part of something bigger and inspire positive change in the world around us.

One small act of kindness at a time…
