QCTO & SETA NEWS 

QCTO: SAQA has released a “Strategy at a Glance” document outlining their strategic focus areas for the upcoming year.

QCTO: In case you missed it, here is communication from QCTO around the use of alternate venues not accredited by the QCTO. (Note: While this communication isn’t on letterhead, be assured that it was included in a recent Implementation Pack for a newly accredited SDP).

QCTO: held its first 2025 Quality Partner Forum, here are some insights into that discussion.

PPRA: Property  Practitioners Regulatory Authority sent out this communication about the shift from the Real Estate Agents legacy Seta qualifications to the new QCTO Occupational Certificates….I think it’s a nice example of the move across to QCTO qualifications and thought you might find it interesting too.

 SERVICES SETA: have released the External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA) dates for various occupational qualifications across the services sector. You can find those here.

W&R Seta: The W&R Seta has officially gone live with its upgraded Management Information System (MIS) and Learning Management System (LMS), complete with a Modern User Interface and a fully online Universal Discretionary Grant Contracting process. Click here to see the user guide.

MICT SETA: and SABC announced the intake for the 2025 internship programme at the public broadcaster.

OPEN DISCRETIONARY GRANT WINDOWS

FASSET: has launched its Lifelong Learning online training series, running until March 2026, with industry-relevant topics like cybersecurity, blockchain, ethics, and fraud detection. Register here for a session that suits you.

CETA: is inviting public institutions to submit expressions of interest for the 2025/2026 ERRP Special Discretionary Grant Funding Window. Funding supports PIVOTAL and Non-PIVOTAL programmes aligned to infrastructure development, job creation, and economic recovery within the construction sector. Click here for more information. CETA: is inviting Labour Federations and accredited SDPs to apply for the opening of the Worker-Initiated Skills Development Programmes Discretionary Grant Window for the 2025/2026 financial year. Funding supports learning pathways such as learnerships, RPL, bursaries, and artisan recognition for employed workers in the construction and built environment sector.
