Many QCTO curriculums do not require formal assessor certification, so join us for this 1-day relevant, high-impact, important webinar to ensure you can professionally assess in the QCTO environment. 

Please note: in order to gain maximum value from this programme, it is recommended that you have some experience in facilitating, Seta assessing or some experience in the broader ETD environment. Understanding the QCTO environment:

  • Exploring the NQF, SAQA, QCTO, and SETA roles and functions;
  • Reviewing the responsibilities of facilitators, assessors, and moderators in the learning process;
  • Analysing QCTO requirements set for Assessors.

Unpacking terminology:

  • Internal assessment, Formative assessment, Summative assessment, FISA and EISA.

Connecting the Curriculum to Practice:

  • Understanding the requirements set out for Qualifications & Skills Programmes;
  • Analysing the components of Knowledge, Practical, and Workplace Modules;
  • Linking the curriculum with the training materials:  Alignment Matrix, Learner Guides and Assessments;
  • Clarifying the role of pre-assessment moderation.

Assessment Practices for Learner Success:  Applied Face-to-face and Online

  • Preparing the learner for the road ahead;
  • Applying formative assessment effectively to enhance facilitation;
  • Conducting summative assessments for comprehensive evaluation;
  • Providing feedback to enhance the learning process;
  • Documenting findings:  The Assessment Report and Statement of Results
  • Implementing Appeals Procedures
  • Understanding Assessment Principles, with special emphasis on confidentiality, learner support & special needs;
  • Conducting a successful FISA;
  • Preparing your learners the EISA.
