STORMY WATERS AHEAD

Finding certainty in uncertain times…

Expiry dates that affect all of us are indeed on the horizon – notably, June 2023 for almost all unit standards and Seta legacy qualifications. But what does this actually mean practically for you and I?

It means moving your alignment and compliance over to the new QCTO system is on the cards (if you haven’t already). It means keeping a close eye out for new QCTO Occupational Certificates and Skills Programmes as they are registered on the NQF. It means taking the time to understand the changing ETD environment and how all the structures relate to each other and to you. It means staying close to Thrive so we can navigate this together.

We look forward to clear guidance from QCTO and Setas over the next while, especially in relation to small skills programme providers who are mostly not yet accommodated in the new system. The changes are sure to keep us on our toes, and whatever happens, we’ll do it together. Hold tight, Thrive Tribe!

Yours in skills,

Andrea

You’re still here? Excellent! 🙂

Last month we asked how you were feeling as we celebrated mid-Winter.

  • 36% of people are feeling invigorated

  • 27% of people are waiting for spring to defrost (yup, that’s me!)

  • 27% of people are just feeling…slushy

  • 10% of people are still snuggled in bed and working (we see you!!)

This month’s silly poll: QCTO and Occupational Certificates

*|SURVEY: Make perfect sense to me – I got this!|*

*|SURVEY: Are new to me, but I look forward to the changes and challenges ahead|*

*|SURVEY: Can’t stand the idea!! What was wrong with the old system??|*
