A sigh of relief for SDPs!
In much anticipated news, an enrolment date extension has been granted to 275 Seta legacy qualifications. This effectively means that accredited SDPs can enrol learners on these unit standard-based qualifications for the next 1 – 2 years. Some of the TVET College NATED courses and Trades were also affected by the Gazette.
We fully understand that this extension isn’t the answer to all of our current industry and compliance challenges – but it certainly does offer some reprieve and relief that SDPs can continue to service clients and learners while the move to the QCTO Occupational Certificates and Skills Programmes continues.
And for that we are very grateful!
The exact hands-on effects of the Gazette and how the various Setas will respond will unfold over the next few weeks. Would you like to stay up-to-date with developments? My weekly Friday Titbit mailer will keep you informed as we go along – sign-up here.

I’m enjoying that sigh of relief with you all 😊
Yours in Skills,
Andrea.
