NEWSLETTER | 14 NOVEMBER 2017 | THRIVE IS TURNING 15!

It all started with a friendly chat between Ingrid and Andrea in November 2002….and it turned into an organisation that has been around for 15 years. We have evolved and responded to an ever-changing ETD environment over the years – but our core values remain as they were first set down in 2004:
Thrive is a niche consultancy focused on creating awareness, facilitating compliance and unlocking the benefits of the Skills Development Act of 1998 and thereby improving the capacity and ability of all South Africans and ultimately the economy.

Of course that quickly expanded into the SAQA Act as well – with more than 700+ successful accreditations to date.

But gratitude is our overwhelming feeling – without our clients, amazing team and beautiful country none of this would have been possible. And for that, Ingrid and I remain wholly indebted….a huge thank you for the support, lessons and the joyride. We’re looking forward to the next 15 years 🙂

We’ve known for a while – but it was good to receive the formal notification from The Department of Labour that First Aid providers can now apply to any delegated quality assurance body that oversees first aid unit standards – and not just HW Seta. Click here to see the notification.

DHET REGISTRATIONS
The deadline for all currently accredited providers has been extended to November 2018 (you can see the notification here). If we have submitted your registration to date you can expect to hear from DHET with confirmation of receipt of your application, but note that they have until February 2019 to give you formal feedback. Your company name should feature on the DHET website from January 2018 as a provider who has applied for for DHET registration. Their internal ring-binding process for some of the early submissions has sometimes meant the loss of documentation – please do not be concerned and simply let us know and we will re-submit the documents to them.

In case you haven’t seen it – please click here for an exciting Services Seta Invitation to Bid.
