IS YOUR ACCREDITATION EXPIRING AT THE END OF MARCH 2020? 
Best you S P R I N G into action! Check when your accreditation expires as soon as you can – and if it is expiring, remember that in order to have an extension granted beyond March,  you need to be seen as an active provider. This includes assessing, moderating and uploading learners on your respective seta reporting systems and having an annual QMS review. And don’t stress! If you need any help, we are here for you!

WHAT IS NEW IN THE NATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS FRAMEWORK
The National Qualifications Framework Amendment Act 12 of 2019 was published in the Government Gazette No 42646 on 19 August 2019. In a nutshell, the purpose of this Act amendment is to:

  • Amend and insert certain definitions;
  • To provide for the verification of all qualifications or part-qualifications by the SAQA;
  • To provide for the formulation of criteria for evaluating foreign qualifications;
  • To provide for the establishment and maintenance of separate registers of misrepresented or fraudulent qualifications or part-qualifications;
  • To provide for a separate register for professional designations;
  • To provide for the referral of qualifications or part-qualifications to the SAQA for verification and evaluation;
  • To provide for offences and penalties which have a bearing on fraudulent qualifications, and to provide for matters connected therewith.

CLAMPDOWN ON CERTIFICATE FALSIFICATION
Services Seta issued an important message detailing their new certificate. They have put a number of security measures in place to ensure the validity of all the certificates that they issue.  The issuing of certificates is subject to strict procedures and formatted with new security features. UNSURE IF YOUR DHET REGISTRATION APPLICATION HAS BEEN FINALISED?

RESEARCH COLLOQUIUM ON THE FOURTH INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION (4IR)
