LET’S POP THE CORK TO A SUCCESSFUL SKILLS SEASON….

Cork popping has so many wonderful associations for me….the last being an indulgent, pool-soaked Christmas morning. But I have corky-memories all the way back to my (don’t tell Dad!) youth…trips through France…..my daughter’s christening. A symbol of fun and festivity….and indeed a new decade.

So much talk of 20plenty and 20/20 vision….it’s bound to be an amazing year!

Welcome to 2020, Thrive Tribe! This is our year!

…. Skills season is firmly descending upon us, and we’re all geared up and excited to ensure your WSP is submitted, complete, accurate and on time….whether for BEE purposes, Seta reporting or for SDL grants we’re here to help. End April is our deadline and does tend to sneak up on us…. contact us to get started!

Let’s do this!

Yours in skills, Andrea

WORK PLACE SKILLS PLAN & ANNUAL TRAINING REPORT SEASON

Seta systems start opening imminently – officially starting 2020’s skills season. It’s time to start putting together your 2020 Workplace Skills Plans & Annual Training Reports for submission by end 30 April.  The process can be both labour intensive and time consuming, but successful submission has awesome results:

  • Providing an amazing opportunity for companies to address and develop specific skill set requirements, ensuring both businesses & employees the opportunity to grow;
  • Ensuring your Mandatory Grant is awarded – this is 20% of your annual SDL;
  • Compliant WSP submission is required for BEE score-carding (SD component of the scorecard);
  • The opportunity to apply for Discretionary Grants as the year unfolds.

If you do not have a Skills Development Facilitator on your team, don’t worry! Thrive offers SDF services to help you manage the skills season:

  • We can take over the process by being an external SDF to your organisation;
  • We can support your internal SDF with strategic insight and back-end administrative support.

We are a click away if you need help.
