Andrea is a founding member and the face of all our sales and business development at Thrive – she also oversees all project implementation since Thrive inception in 2003. Perhaps due to her ICU nursing background, Andrea has a passion for helping people and finding the perfect creative solution for clients within the national ETD regulations.

Andrea also has a BCom in Business Management and a Diploma in OD-ETP qualifications and is the previous Gauteng director of the ASDSA and chairperson/committee member of Yenzani Children’s Home for 13 years.

Ingrid is a founding member and the reason the wheels turn so smoothly at Thrive – operations, finance and HR are all her forte. Previously in hospitality and event co-ordination Ingrid’s sunny disposition and meticulous nature keep the internal cogs turning on time.

With BCom Hospitality & Tourism and Diploma in OD-ETP qualifications and a greenie beanie at heart, no one knows the internal working of Thrive better than her.

Carmen has been working in the ETD environment since 2010 and is passionate about making sense of Seta benefits for organisations. Ensuring companies rewarded for their people development efforts and seeing learners succeed is what makes her tick.

Carmen oversees our Skills Development department and is responsible for overseeing all of our mandatory and discretionary grant submissions – for more than 100 annual clients in at least 15 Setas including Cell C, Coca-Cola, Cliffe Dekker Hofmeyr, PMI and Bureau Veritas. She is also involved in SD consulting, highlighting the link to employment equity and BEE benefits.

With more than 160 successful accreditation applications in 12 different Setas she is our most experienced consultant. Her easy going nature and creativity ensure detailed, accurate and smooth sailing accreditation applications. Our friendly and free spirited Alida is much loved by her clients.

Margaret’s extensive background in the South African ETD environment ensures that her wealth of knowledge and experience add huge value to our team. Margaret worked at SAQA since 2004 doing monitoring and evaluation work until she was seconded to the QCTO in 2011. This hands on experience at a national policy level ensures we all stay up to date and relevant in terms of the QCTO changes – bringing these insights to our team and all the providers we work with.

Working with like-minded people and being able to support and mentor aspirant providers as they get to grips with the principles of the NQF is her favourite part of the job here at Thrive.

Al has worked in the vocational education and Seta space since 2012, initially supporting Thrive with our client mandatory grant compliance and submissions. He has worked closely with our accreditation consultants to ensure high quality, NQF-aligned, Seta compliant training materials are delivered and implemented through our accredited providers. It is this work that has led him to become an all-round accreditation consultant – assisting not only with materials compliance, but also with company application and documentation compliance.

Service delivery and relationship building is of paramount importance to our cheeky and cheerful Al, who never ceases to brighten up the office.

Thilligie comes from a professional corporate and instructional design background and has been working in the vocational training and compliance arena since 2004. Deonie’s passion lies squarely within education, training and development – working to create literacy and numeracy materials since 2002 and school teaching for many years after that, watching “light bulbs come on” gets her up in the morning. Since 2010 Deonie has worked with training providers to ensure their company and programme compliance and accreditation with a variety of Setas. An experienced SDF and assessor makes her a very valuable and highly skilled member of our Thrive team. We’re delighted to have her on board!

Jolande is a skilled communicator and solution-oriented Skills Development facilitator with 13 years’ experience in the fields of skills development and employment equity, with an additional 10 year background in corporate communication.  She is detail-orientated and has never missed a deadline! Her ability to build relationships and her passion for training and skills development has gained her a great deal of positive recognition over the years.
